In December 2017, Apple publicly announced its intention to offer Shazam, a wish made official today by the Cupertino company. The musical recognition application enters into the catalog of brands bought by the company at Apple, like Beats. Most importantly, Tim Cook’s company said it wanted to remove advertising from the free version of its app.
“Shazam Encore”, the paid version which already proposed the end of advertisements against 4 € per month, should, therefore, be stopped. In a statement released by Apple, the firm explained that the application would ” soon offer its experience without ads for all users so that everyone can enjoy the best of Shazam without interruption.”
Use Shazam as an integrated application directly to its smartphones, such as Siri or Touch ID. No worries, however, for users of the app on Android, it should obviously remain available for Samsung, LG, or HTC phones. With this new opportunity on its iPhones, Apple comes directly against the initiative of Google and its smartphone Pixel, soon on sale in France and will have a similar technology.

An announcement comes just days after Apple’s re-entry conference where 3 new iPhones were presented. If the XR is clearly announced as the least “good” phone of the 3, some features have been forgotten to reduce its selling price, iPhones XS and XS Max are presented as very high-end. Increased time of autonomy, the size of the screen, or the appearance of facial recognition, several novelties have been made without any real revolution being put in place.
